Deductible Duck Acceptable Use Policy

At Deductible Duck, our goal is to help users easily organize, document, and track their charitable donations. To maintain a safe, compliant, and reliable platform, we require that all users use the Service responsibly and avoid misuse or abuse. Some activities are incompatible with these goals, and this Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) describes those prohibited activities.

This Policy applies to all use of the Deductible Duck website, applications, tools, and related services (“Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy. The examples described below are not exhaustive.


Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Services to:

  • Promote, condone, encourage, or facilitate hate, violence, or discrimination against people based on race, ethnicity, color, national origin, religion, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, medical condition, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic;
  • Engage in, promote, or facilitate illegal activity or violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation—including but not limited to laws concerning data protection, privacy, and charitable reporting;
  • Violate or infringe upon the rights of others, including privacy rights and intellectual property rights;
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or organization, including implying endorsement by Deductible Duck;
  • Attempt to access or use another user’s account without permission;
  • Harvest, scrape, or otherwise collect personal information about others without consent;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation, security, or integrity of the Services, including attempting to disable, overload, or circumvent technical protections;
  • Upload or transmit malware, viruses, worms, or any other malicious or harmful code;
  • Use automated tools (such as bots or scrapers) to access the Services in a manner that exceeds reasonable, human-scale use;
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise access the underlying source code or structure of the Services;
  • Use the Services to harm minors or interact with or target individuals under the age of 13;
  • Disparage or misrepresent Deductible Duck, its employees, its partners, or its affiliates;
  • Authorize, encourage, or enable any third party to engage in any of the prohibited activities listed in this Policy.

Prohibited Content

You may not use the Services to upload, store, process, transmit, or display:

  • Content that promotes, condones, encourages, or facilitates hate, violence, or discrimination;
  • Obscene, defamatory, fraudulent, deceptive, pornographic, or otherwise unlawful material;
  • Content that violates applicable law or encourages conduct that would violate applicable law;
  • Content that infringes or misappropriates trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights;
  • Sensitive personal information, including—but not limited to:
    • Government identification numbers (e.g., Social Security numbers, passport numbers, driver’s license numbers),
    • Financial account information such as full credit card or bank account numbers,
    • Medical records or health information covered under HIPAA or similar laws,
    • Special categories of personal data defined under the EU/UK GDPR,
    • Information about children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in applicable jurisdictions);
  • Malicious software, harmful scripts, or any executables designed to damage systems or data;
  • Any form of spam, including unsolicited commercial messages;
  • Any content that violates charitable reporting laws, IRS regulations, or documentation requirements.

Monitoring and Enforcement

Deductible Duck reserves the right, but is not obligated, to monitor or investigate use of the Services at any time to ensure compliance with:

  • This Policy,
  • The Deductible Duck User Agreement,
  • Any other applicable agreements or requirements.

If Deductible Duck determines, in its sole discretion, that you have violated this Policy (or helped others do so), Deductible Duck may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, remove content, or take any other action it deems appropriate—without notice or liability.


Updates to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically by posting a revised version at:

Any updates become effective upon posting. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the modified Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy regularly.
