ItsDeductible Login Not Working? How to Get Your Data Out

ItsDeductible login page closed, Dee Duck holding a folder of donation records

If you came here looking for the ItsDeductible login, here’s the short version: it’s gone. Intuit shut ItsDeductible down on October 21, 2025, and the sign-in page went with it. Your old donation records aren’t gone, though. They’re still sitting in your Intuit account, and this page shows you how to get them out and where to put them so this doesn’t happen to you twice.

Why the ItsDeductible login no longer works

ItsDeductible was Intuit’s free tool for tracking charitable donations and putting a value on the stuff you gave away. Intuit tried to retire it once before, back in 2022, and backed off when customers pushed back. The second time stuck. On October 21, 2025, in the middle of the tax year, the ItsDeductible online site, the ItsDeductible app, and the ItsDeductible login page all went away at once. There’s no new address to try and no password to reset. If you want the whole story, it’s in what happened to ItsDeductible.

The good news is that your data survived. Intuit kept the records tied to your Intuit account, and you can still ask for a copy. That’s the next section.

Looking for the Deductible Duck login instead?

Deductible Duck is a separate company with no connection to Intuit or TurboTax, and we’re not the old ItsDeductible online site under a new name. If you already have an account with us, sign in at app.deductibleduck.com. The App Login link at the top of every page on this site takes you to the same place.

  • Forgot your password? Use the reset link on the sign-in page, and check your spam folder if the email doesn’t show up.
  • Turned on two-factor authentication? Have your phone handy. Here’s how two-factor works if you need a refresher.
  • Miss the ItsDeductible app on your phone? You can install Deductible Duck as an app right from the browser. There’s nothing to download from an app store.

How to get your old ItsDeductible data out of Intuit

Intuit’s own support article covers this, and you will want to follow the steps below carefully to get your data out. To start, you’ll need the email and password for the Intuit account you used with ItsDeductible or TurboTax. When you make the request with Intuit, it won’t cost you anything (it’s free).

  1. Sign in to your Intuit account.
  2. Select Data privacy.
  3. Select Download and continue through the screens.
  4. On the screen that asks which data you want, pick TurboTax if you use TurboTax. If you don’t, Intuit Account is already selected for you.
  5. Submit the request.

Intuit emails you when the file is ready. The article says a request can take up to 15 days, depending on how much data you have, so do this well before you plan to file. When the file arrives, your ItsDeductible records are inside a subfolder named SharedData. None of this needs the old ItsDeductible login. It all runs through your Intuit account. One thing to know before you open it. There are two different ItsDeductible files in the world, and they are not the same. The first is the export ItsDeductible made while it was still running: a ZIP archive, or separate Item, Money, Mileage, and Stock CSV files. If you saved one of those before the shutdown, you have the good copy. The second is the activity file Intuit sends you now. It’s a spreadsheet of your whole account history, and it’s a mess. We’ve looked at one. It has your donations in it, but it isn’t laid out in a way any import can read. Keep it anyway. It’s still your proof of what you gave and when.

How to bring your ItsDeductible records into Deductible Duck

Deductible Duck has an import built just for ItsDeductible files. It takes the ZIP archive or the CSV lists ItsDeductible exported, and it knows the column headers ItsDeductible used, so items, money, mileage, and stock all land in the right place. It won’t take a PDF, and it won’t read a CSV from some other program. Each file can be up to 10 MB, so if your archive is bigger than that, split it up and import the pieces one at a time. You don’t need the old ItsDeductible login for any of this. The files are already on your computer.

  1. Sign in and open the Import Your Data screen.
  2. Click Choose File and pick your ZIP or CSV, or drag the file into the upload box.
  3. Answer the question about recurring donations. ItsDeductible never exported those completely, so we check with you before guessing.
  4. Click Start Import, confirm which donations to bring in, match up any fields it asks about, and give it a last look.
  5. Back on the dashboard, check the totals by year against what ItsDeductible used to show you, and fix anything that came in blank.

Want the long version, with the common problems and how to fix them? It’s in our guide to exporting your ItsDeductible data and importing it into Deductible Duck.

If all you have is the Intuit activity file, Deductible Duck can’t import it as-is, and neither can anything else we know of. What works is to open it next to Deductible Duck and enter the donations by hand, using the file as your reference for dates, charities, and values. Keep the activity file with your tax folder when you’re done.

What about getting donations into TurboTax?

This is the next thing everyone asks, so here’s the plain answer. Nothing here goes through the ItsDeductible login either. Deductible Duck exports a TXF file, and TurboTax Desktop for Windows and Mac imports it. Here are the steps. TurboTax Online is a different product, and it won’t accept a TXF file from any donation tracker, ours or anyone else’s. Our TurboTax Online guide walks through your options there, including switching to the desktop version. If Intuit ever adds a donation import to TurboTax Online, we’ll support it.

What if you never exported anything?

Plenty of people found out ItsDeductible was gone the day the ItsDeductible login stopped working. If the Intuit download comes back thin, you can still rebuild the year from other records. Start with donation receipts and the thank-you emails charities send. Bank and credit card statements show your cash gifts. Photos on your phone often show what you dropped off and when. We wrote a guide to claiming charitable donations without receipts that covers what the IRS accepts in each situation.

Two rules matter while you rebuild. Any single gift of $250 or more needs a written acknowledgment from the charity that says whether you got anything in return, and you need it in hand before you file. Noncash gifts that add up to more than $500 for the year go on Form 8283. Both rules come from IRS Publication 526.

Make sure this never happens to you again

If the ItsDeductible shutdown taught us anything, it’s to keep your records somewhere you can take them with you. In Deductible Duck you can download all of your data any time you like, as a file you keep. Do it every January after you file and drop it in your tax folder. If we ever disappeared the way ItsDeductible did, you’d still have everything. Start free, and we’ll be here next year.
